Lil' Inker Designs Release: Day 1

Amy - Flowers

Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil' Inker Designs March Release!  This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps that are so perfect for EASTER.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from Karen Baker's blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

I decided to work with the new Fresh Cut Flowers and coordinating dies.  I love flowers and this set is so fun with some layering aspects too!  I've used all pigment inks for my flowers and greenery.  To add a bit of detail, I added dots of white pigment ink using my white pen.  The outer stitching is from the Silly Stitched Die Set.  I love pairing the florals with a bold black sentiment in the form of a diecut "thanks" using the Thanks Word Die.

Now for the fun part!  There is a $15 gift certificate up for grabs for one lucky person who comments along the way!  One winner is chosen for each day!!

Avery Elle Spring Release Blog Hop!

Release Hop Canopy3

Hello and Welcome to the Spring Release Blog Hop for Avery Elle!
If you followed Avery Elle back around CHA time, then you've seen the new stamp sets and dies that are releasing.  They are nothing short of amazing and are available NOW!

I am sharing a gorgeous new stamp set called Canopy.  This is a large image that covers most of a card front.  It is perfect for many different coloring mediums.  I chose to white heat emboss and Distress Ink watercolor.  This stamp can be rotated and stamped at the bottom as well.  I chose this layout because I wanted to add a pop of color with pattern paper from The Happy Collection.  I stamped a bold black sentiment that is included in the Canopy stamp set.  I kept the card simple so this will easy to slip in the mail to someone!

I went with a project I created YEARS ago here on my blog but recreated it with Reverse Confetti flair!  You can see my previous post HERE.  Here's a sneak peak of my project that you can see in full detail over on the Reverse Confetti Blog!  I hope you stop over there to check it out!

Crazy!

Crazy

Hello!  I'm sharing a card that's up on the Avery Elle blog today.  It features the Simply Said: Crazy stamps and Ellements.

I thought the main sentiment: Crazy would be perfect for a "teen" card when paired with "you are" and "cool".  And seriously......who does't like a shaker card?  To easily color my "crazy" sentiment in rainbow colors, I die cut and left it in the paper.  This makes for easy peasy coloring and blending!  To frame my shaker, I used the Burst Ellements which has the fun line details that cut.  I added lots of flat sequins in clear, and small/large stars from Pretty Pink Posh.

SFYTT with Reverse Confetti

SFYTT

Hello!  I am here sharing a card using the current SFYTT (Sketch For You to Try) over at the Reverse Confetti blog.  Check out the SFYTT post......HERE for all the details!

Reverse Confetti

This sketch was a little tricky for me because of the idea of "4" of something.  So, I pulled out the You are a Star stamps and You are a Star Confetti Cuts.  I used some fun colors of pigment ink to stamp my stars.  These colors just make me happy!  To really make my stars pop, I wanted to add them to a neutral black but it needed texture.  Embossing folder to the rescue!  The embossed dots were the perfect detail!  To finish my sketch, I die cut the end of the Envie Wrap Confetti Cuts twice and added those to the top and bottom.  For some added detail, I added some sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  I think this would be a perfect encouragement card for a teen!

Now the best part is.......there is always a winner every month!  Here are the details:

The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 30th of each month.
Check out the SFYTT post......HERE.

So let's see your Reverse Confetti creations this month.....you still have time to get it done!

Thorns and all!

Thorns and all2

Happy Valentine's Day!  I wanted to stop by and share one last card for Valentine's Day but it really could be used at any time of the year!

I've used the So Prickly Stamps and So Prickly Paper Pack from Lil' Inker Designs.  There are so many ways you can stamp these cute cactus!  I've stamped my cactus onto a Dual Dotted Circle and added some die cut hearts from the Floating Hearts Die.

Wnnie & Walter-Background Challenge

Hello (again)!  I am playing along with the Winnie & Walter's create your own background challenge by Gayatri for their Belated 2nd Birthday Bash!

One of my favorite sets from Winnie & Walter is their V for Chevron stamp set.  It can make endless backgrounds.  I used it to create this masculine card that could be used for any occasion.  I used various pigment inks for my background and die cut the In a Word: Hello Cutaway.  To make my die cut sentiment match, I swiped my ink pad across some cardstock and die cut.  Whala!  Coordinating sentiment!

My Favorite Things Color Challenge #39

MFTCC39

Hello!  I don't find myself with much time to create "just for me" or participate in challenges like I used to.  I LOVE challenges.  They were how I really got started with DT's and getting to know the stamping community.  There are TONS of online challenges that make it FUN to design!

I've had this Hug in a Mug stamp and die set by Laina Lamb Design from My Favorite Things on my desk for literally 2 months.  I've been following all the wonderful challenges MFT has on their challenge blog for quite some time and never have played along.  Until now.

When I saw this week's Color Challenge, I could not resist pairing it with this awesome stamp and die set from Laina Lamb Design called Hug in a Mug.  The details in this die set are amazing!  There are mini marshmallows, whipped cream, stitched heart, and many more!

I used a stitched die from Blueprints 13 to trim a piece of pattern paper from the Painted Prints: Smitten collection and added that to a top folding notecard.  Using Wild Cherry cardstock, I die cut the largest heart from the Stitched Heart STAX.  From Cotton Candy and Summer Splash cardstock, I die cut the mugs.  I added die cut hearts from the die set using Wild Cherry cardstock.  A few mini marshmallows and steam were added with white and light grey cardstock.  My banner was die cut from Blueprints 16 and my sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.  A few Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added to embellish the mugs.

February Verve Diva Inspiration Hop!

Diva Hop

It's time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop! There are two ways to win Verve prizes: comment on the design team's blog hop posts (linked below) to see their take on the inspiration, then go get inky and link up your take on the challenge to be eligible in our prize drawings! You have until March 5 to link up, so feel free to play as often as you like.

The pop of color in this industrial style loft speaks of the hope of spring in the midst of winter. Kind of like February... it's still cold and wintry, but new life is on the horizon. Feel free to take your inspiration from the photo or the color combo, whatever suits your fancy! We can't wait to see what you create.

With this inspiration photo, I loved the florals and color.  I went with a lightly sponged polka dot background in grey.  I white heat embossed flowers from Surely Goodness and watercolored with Distress Inks.  I added some watercolored diecut leaves from Leafy Sprigs and added them behind my flowers.  My sentiment, from Poppy Birthday, was stamped in grey ink onto my sponged background.  A few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added as an embellishment.

Watercolor striped background

Dreamboat2

Hello!  I'm sharing a card that's up on the Avery Elle blog today.

I had so much fun with this card!  I did a little background watercoloring!  I created my own background stripes with watercolor paper, paintbrush, and Distress Ink!  I love how it turned out!  This was my first attempt!  I also watercolored some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and used a wavy die from my stash to cut the "waves".  I layered the waves over my striped background.  The "sun" in the background was also watercolored!

I used the adorable set called Dreamboat and it's coordinating Ellements Dies.  My boat and little people were all Copic colored and a few white accents were added using my white pigment Signo pen.
